EMC Insurance Group Inc. is an insurance holding company that is 80.9% owned by Employers Mutual Casualty Company (Employers Mutual), a multiple-line property and casualty insurance company that is licensed in all 50 states and the District of Columbia. The Company conducts its insurance business through two business segments: Property and Casualty Insurance and Reinsurance. The four property and casualty insurance subsidiaries of the Company and two subsidiaries and an affiliate of Employers Mutual (Union Insurance Company of Providence, EMC Property & Casualty Company and Hamilton Mutual Insurance Company) are parties to reinsurance pooling agreements with Employers Mutual.
EMC Insurance Groups personal lines of business consist of Automobile Insurance, Property and Liability.
