State Auto Financial is a majority-owned subsidiary of State Automobile Mutual Insurance Company (Mutual), a casualty insurer and member of the State Auto Group. State Auto Financial also provides personal automobile insurance to the nonstandard insurance market through the following principal wholly owned insurance subsidiaries: State Auto National Insurance Company (SA National) and Mid-Plains Insurance Company (Mid-Plains).
